A Day at the Museum

Throughout the program we are exploring different forms of recreation and leisure. We decided to spend Monday by first going for a nice walk around the city and then followed it with some drawings and paintings with the kids. It was great to see the different paintings the kids came up with.

On Wednesday more participants showed up. It looks like word on our program is spreading quickly! We took a large group of kids to the local "Museum of Prehistoric Man and Nature." We had a guide take us around the museum and explain the exhibitions in a "kid friendly" manner. The museum was quite interesting had had an abundance of prehistoric fossils as well as information on local flora and fauna. Tomorrow we'll be going on an excursion to the local Aboriginal Cultural Centre. It should be a good time!
